Russell L. Strebe, 71, of Janesville passed away at his home on Monday, October 21, 2013. Russell was born in in the Town of Holton, Marathon County, WI on February 9, 1942, the son of Clyde and Bernice (Pacourek) Strebe. He was a 1960 graduate of Columbus High School in Marshfield, WI. In 1965, Russell began working for General Motors in Janesville, WI where he retired after 32 years of service in 1997. After retiring, Russell enjoyed camping around Wisconsin and traveling to many wonderful places both in the United States and abroad.  He was a member of U.A.W. Local # 95 and Moose Lodge # 197. Russell loved riding his Harley, fishing, attending local stock car races, watching NASCAR, and cheering for the Badgers and the Packers.
Surviving are two sons, Kevin (Kelly) of Janesville, Terry (Lori) of Pewaukee, WI, five grandchildren, Kristopher, Kurtis, Grace, Marc and David,  brothers, Jerry, Dale, Ronnie, James, Galen and sisters, Marlene and Virginia,  He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, DuWayne and Allen and his ex-wife, Karen (Rasmussen) Nekola.
On Friday, October 25, 2013 a visitation will be held starting at Noon followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home, 1010 N. Wright Rd., Janesville, WI 53546.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial in Russell‘s name to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.
